Server log data

When this website is accessed, the web server technically processes connection data such as the IP address, date and time, requested page, browser information and operating system. This is necessary to deliver the website securely and reliably. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Audio files and cover images

Audio previews and cover images are delivered directly from this website. Streaming buttons are external links to DistroKid HyperFollow. Data is transferred to DistroKid only when you open one of these links.

Email contact

If you contact us by email or through the contact form, your information is processed to answer your enquiry. Depending on its purpose, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) or Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Cookies and tracking

We use WP Statistics on our own web server to measure website traffic. It records page views, access times, referral sources and technical browser and device information. IP addresses are shortened before statistical storage and combined with browser information to create a hash identifier that changes daily. These statistics do not use cookies; geolocation is disabled. Do Not Track signals are respected.

Statistics remain on our server. After the configured period of 180 days, detailed data is aggregated into totals during daily maintenance and the detailed records are deleted. Aggregate visitor and page-view counts remain for long-term comparisons and are retrieved through ChatGPT for the weekly report. Where personal data is processed, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR: our interest in understanding website usage and improving our offering. You may object on grounds relating to your particular situation under Article 21(1) GDPR.

We do not use advertising tracking. Your selected language is stored locally in your browser. WordPress may use technically necessary cookies in the protected administration area.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you may have rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent data protection supervisory authority.

Newsletter with MailPoet

You can subscribe to news and new releases from The Lone Rebel by email. Subscription is voluntary and takes effect only after you confirm the link in our confirmation email. The basis is your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and section 7(2)(2) of the German UWG.

We process your email address, subscription status, signup and confirmation times and IP addresses, the time zone supplied by your browser, and sending and delivery information. Newsletter opens and link clicks are not measured. Emails are delivered through MailPoet (Automattic), which receives the data needed for delivery.

You can withdraw consent at any time using the newsletter unsubscribe link or by emailing contact@thelonerebel.music (Article 7(3) GDPR). Earlier lawful processing is unaffected. Unsubscribing stops newsletters but does not automatically delete the record. Necessary consent evidence and suppression records may be retained under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR to document consent and prevent further mailings. Data must be deleted when those purposes end unless a retention obligation applies.

Recipients

Technical data may be processed by hosting and email providers used to operate the website and answer enquiries. Data is otherwise disclosed only where legally required.

Storage periods

Server logs are retained according to the security and operating requirements of the hosting service and then deleted. Enquiry data is retained until the enquiry has been handled and thereafter only as long as statutory retention or limitation periods require.

Provision of data

Required contact-form fields are necessary to answer an enquiry. Without them, the form cannot be submitted or the enquiry answered.

Automated decisions

No automated decision-making or profiling takes place.

Right to complain

You may complain to a data protection authority. The competent authority in Rhineland-Palatinate is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information Rhineland-Palatinate, www.datenschutz.rlp.de.
